3D Fly-though,
Beach accessway
A 3D model of a beach access way in a remote area was created to show how the incursion of vegetation has impacted the boardwalk since completion. A low-level digital fly-through was requested to easily show the impact, delivered in a compressed MP4 file for ease of distribution to concerned parties while still being able to see relevant information. The client also requested the digital removal of the handrails so the model had a better visual representation of the vegetation that had encroached over the base of the stair set. We were able to deliver the fly-through as well as two interactive models for future reference or projects, one with and one without the handrails.
Asset Inspection, residential shed

An aerial inspection model of a shed was created to enable the owner to assess the damage to the asset. The owner believed that mismanagement of the vegetation next to the shed had caused excessive damage to the front right side of the shed. Upon reviewing the model off-site, the owner concluded that aside from some minor dents in the top rear right side, overgrown vegetation around the building, and some fallen plant matter on the confined area, no structural damage was evident. He was able to get a local contractor to fix the dents and recommended to the tannate that the cleaning routine for the building be increased as a preventive maintenance measure.
Historical Perservation,
Ellensbrook Homestead
We created a 3D model, orthophoto, and surface model of Ellensbrook Homestead and its surrounding park for digital archiving and preservation purposes. Models like this are useful for future understanding of the present. They can also serve as a reference for maintenance to ensure that it doesn’t severely impact the site. Additionally, they can be used as a reference for possible impact-minimizing sites for public amenity and accessibility. Ellensbrook Homestead is a heritage-listed property located in Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park near Margaret River, Western Australia. The site where Ellensbrook is located was historically a Noongar camping ground named Mokidup, close to the sacred site of Meekadarribee Cave
